Karen Brown
The CMTA has always been there for Karen's family. When Karen was diagnosed with CMT1A in 1996, her neurologist handed her a CMTA pamphlet and said to call them with any questions. That call was the beginning of a beautiful relationship. The CMTA has connected Karen's family with experts, hosted events, built a community like no other, and created hope of a future without CMT with its STAR research program. Karen believes in the organization and is committed to supporting its work both during and after her lifetime. Designating the CMTA to receive the full charitable portion of their estate was an easy decision because the CMTA is changing lives and creating hope. Karen and her family want to be part of that, and a legacy gift ensures that the work will continue after they are gone.
